CASE STUDY: Semi Truck Trailer

This transportation company uses its trailers to haul 3,000-pound lead plates used in the manufacturing of batteries. During transportation, lead dust develops that leaks from the trailer, creating an environmental hazard. As environmental agencies became more strict about the transportation of hazardous materials, this transportation company found itself under close scrutiny. Rhino Linings® was able to form an airtight and watertight seal to ensure that no lead escaped the trailer during transport. Additionally, by nature of its formulation, Rhino Linings was able to provide an impact- and abrasion-resistant lining allowing the trailer to resist much of the damage incurred in the course of transporting materials.

It began in 1988 when I won a new pick-up at the company Christmas party. I was in construction, so I saw the possibilities of using Rhino Linings to prevent rust and extend the life of my truck.
